Presidential couple to visit Ruhnu island


President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Ieva Ilves will visit Ruhnu island to meet the local people and open a photo exhibition depicting the life of the people of Ruhnu.

The Estonian Head of State will today open a photo exhibition entitled "Ruhnu etüüdid" (Etudes from Ruhnu), on the 41 metre wall of the Korsi farm complex managed by Rannarootsi Museum (Aibolands Museum); the exhibition consists of photos that were taken this spring of the people of the island by Haapsalu Photo Club.

During the visit, the presidential couple will meet with local people, including long-term pastor, Harry-Johannes Rein, who is due to retire and will celebrate his 90th birthday.
