Evelin Ilves opened the “Pictures Make You Well” photo club exhibition in Tallinn Children’s Hospital

At the Conference Centre of Sokos Hotel Viru today, Mrs. Evelin Ilves, who is the patron of Tallinn Children’s Hospital support foundation, opened an exhibition of photos taken by children of the Oncology Department of Tallinn Children’s Hospital; the exhibition is called Pictures Make You Well.
The photos were taken by the children and depict their everyday lives as patients of the children. The youngest participant is five and the oldest is eighteen years old.
Since April 26, the photo club has come together once a month at the Oncology Department, led by photographer Aivar Pihelgas; Mrs. Evelin Ilves has also taken part in the club’s activities. Volunteers Ave Kaing-Kaabel and Taavi Tõnisson from the Estonian Youth and Puppet Theatre, face painting artists Ingrid Teder and Larissa Pavlova, zoologist Aleksei Turovski and magician Charlekas have also joined the photo club; Agne Kurrikoff-Herman played the role of Karlsson, music was made by Uku Suviste and Triinu Taul and pictures were drawn by artist Reet Helisabeth Karm.
