Evelin Ilves supports the SOS Children’s Village charity auction

10.11.2011

Evelin Ilves, patron of the SOS Children’s Village, together with Kristina Smigun-Vähi, Mart Poomi and Urmas Paetiga, was one of those who today painted pictures of angels under the direction of artist Epp-Maria Kokamägi. The pictures are to be sold in a charity auction organised in the osta.ee Internet environment (www.osta.ee/sos), and the funds that are received will be used to buy winter sports equipment for the children in the village.

In addition to the angels that were painted today, dinners at various Tallinn restaurants will also be auctioned off from 11 to 20 November. Donors will have the opportunity to buy a dinner with Evelin Ilves, Kristina Smigun-Vähi, Mart Poom, Urmas Paet, Gert Tiivas, Joakim Helenius or Anne Veski. They will also have the opportunity to buy a dinner at the SOS Children’s Village family house in the company of matron Erika and her children. Besides the dinners, the auction also includes a short cooking course with master chefs Rain Käärsti and Allan Kuningas. Swissôtel has donated accommodation for two in an exclusive hotel suite.

Dinners will be donated by the following restaurants: Ribe, Dominic, Öö, Moon, Lucca, Chedi and Lounge24.

If you do not wish to participate in the auction but want to help the SOS Children’s Village buy winter sports equipment for the children, you can transfer your donation to account no. 221001178590, SOS Lasteküla Eesti Ühing.

The SOS Children’s Village provides family-based care for children without parental care. Today, there are children’s villages and youth homes in Tallinn, Keila and Põltsamaa. A programme to strengthen families helps families that are encountering difficulties in Narva, and educational projects help children with learning difficulties in Keila and Põltsamaa.
