The spouse of the President is guest judge in selecting Estonia’s best chef

The spouse of the President of the Republic of Estonia, Evelin Ilves, was revealed as the guest judge at the 2011 edition of the ‘Chef of the Year’ competition, at which she tried the crèmes brûlées prepared by Estonian masters of the art of cooking.
The winner, as selected by the First Lady, was Vladislav Korpusov (Ö), while Ranno Paukson (Pädaste Manor) was presented with a special ’Healthy Choice’ award.
The final of the ‘Chef of the Year’ competition was held today at the Estonian Exhibition Centre as part of the official programme of the Food Fair 2011 trade fair. The overall winner of the title will be revealed at tonight’s gala event for head chefs.
