The President, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, visited the Warsaw Uprising Museum (Muzeum Powstania Warszawskiego) today and paid his respects to the victims of the uprising. This year, 70 years will pass since the uprising in Warsaw, which involved fighters for the freedom of Poland fighting battles against the Nazi German army in Warsaw from August to October 1944. They were defeated, as they did not get the expected support from the armies of the totalitarian Soviet Union.
