President Ilves received a high diplomatic award from Lithuania


President Toomas Hendrik Ilves met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Linas Linkevičius, who arrived in Tallinn to take part in the international Lennart Meri Conference, and presented the Estonian Head of State with the Lithuanian Diplomacy Star to acknowledge his foreign policy efforts.

The Lithuanian diplomacy award has been awarded since 2010 and is presented to acknowledge the efforts of individuals or organisations in the sphere of promoting international relations. The first to receive this acknowledgment was the Deputy Secretary-General of NATO, Alexander Vershbow.
