Estonian Head of State: terrorism attempts to undermine our values and the security and stability of our societies

19.03.2015

The President, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, sent a letter of condolences to the President of the Republic of Tunisia, Beji Caïd Essebsi, in the wake of the terrorist attack at Bardo Museum that claimed the lives of 19 people, including some citizens from the European Union. He expressed his condolences to the next of kin and friends of the victims, as well as the people of Tunisia.

"Terrorism is our shared problem, as it attempts to undermine our values, and the security and stability of our societies. Slaughter of the innocent is an act of cowardice that should only serve to increase the determination of the international community to continue combating terrorism," wrote the Estonian Head of State.
