Evelin Ilves visited 175th Elementary School in New York

Evelin Ilves yesterday paid a visit to the 175th Elementary School in New York and their school garden, where healthy food is grown that is then used by the school family for school lunches.

Evelin Ilves met with the Headmistress of the School, Cheryl McClendon, as well as teachers and students, and she stayed for lunch break to learn more about the food served to the children.

The school garden is managed by the school itself, and the students also lend a hand by working in the garden.
