Estonian Head of State congratulated Finland on Independence Day

"Thanks for the friendship!" wrote President Toomas Hendrik Ilves in a letter sent to the Head of State of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, congratulating Finland on its Independence Day.

President Ilves confirmed that Estonia and Finland are close to each other in many different ways, with a "functioning X-Road being the only thing still absent between our countries".

"Happy Independence Day to you and Finnish people!" wrote the Estonian Head of State to his Finnish colleague.
