President Ilves to take part in high-level security discussions in Vienna

President Toomas Hendrik Ilves will depart for a two-day work visit in Vienna where he will take part in the Munich Security Conference Core Group Meeting and facilitate a discussion on "Relations between Russia, the EU and the USA".

This year, the meeting will focus on relations between the Western countries and Russia, the future of Ukraine, the energy independence of countries and the security of Europe.

The Munich Security Conference has held core group meetings since 2009 in different capitals of the world, with the purpose of focusing on issues that impact on the international security situation. About 60 influential participants have received an invitation to the meeting.
