President Ilves to pay a working visit to Germany

President Toomas Hendrik Ilves will today leave for a working visit to Berlin where he will meet with the President of the Federal Republic of Germany and will give a presentation on the economy.

The heads of state will focus on issues related to the future of the European Union at a meeting with the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Joachim Gauck.

At the invitation of the German Council on Foreign Relations and the German Marshall Fund of the United States, the President will give a presentation entitled "Frugality or Growth" at the Humboldt-Viadrina School of Governance, in which he will introduce the economic decisions adopted by Estonia over the last number of years. Students, journalists, think-tank participants and politicians alike are welcome to listen to the presentation.

The Head of State will return to Estonia on the night of Wednesday, 4 July.
