Estonian Head of State congratulated the newly elected President of Russia

The President, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, today sent a letter to Vladimir Putin, congratulating him on being elected the President of the Russian Federation.

"I wish you strength and success in building a democratic and modern state. I also wish all the Russian people a peaceful and successful future. This is the future that will allow relations between Estonia and Russia to develop in a manner worthy of the 21st century, relations between neighbours who accept each other's choices," President Ilves wrote.
