Estonian Head of State expressed condolences to President Komorowski following the death of Polish soldiers in action

“The tragic announcement of the death in action of five Polish soldiers in Afghanistan fills me with deep sadness,” wrote the President, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, in a letter of condolences that he sent to the Polish Head of State, Bronisław Komorowski. “I bow my head in memory of these heroes, and I ask you to please forward my condolences to the families and friends of these brave men.”

On 21 December, five Polish soldiers, who served in the NATO-led international peace securing ISAF troops, were killed in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan, when a device exploded.
