President Toomas Hendrik Ilves going on a visit to Switzerland and Austria

The Estonian Head of State will meet with Micheline Calmy-Rey, President of the Swiss Confederation, to discuss bilateral relations, the latest developments in the eurozone and cooperation for cyber defence.

From Switzerland President Ilves will travel to Austria to meet with the Austrian Head of State, Heinz Fischer, and participate in the fourth World Policy Conference.

The 150 participants of this representative conference on foreign policy will include: President of the European Council Herman van Rompuy, Turkish President Abdullah Gül, Slovenian Head of State Danilo Türk, Serbian President Boris Tadić, Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew I, former Secretary-General of the Arab League Amr Moussa, Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak and former Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari.

Topics of the fourth World Policy Conference: Arab Spring, natural disasters, European debt crisis and future of the G-8 and G-20 alliances. Top-level world policy conferences were previously held in Evian in France once and in Marrakech in Morocco twice.
