Estonian Head of State expressed condolences to Russia after a tragic boat accident

The President, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, expressed his condolences today to the Russian Head of State, Dmitri Medvedev, and to the people of Russia in the wake of the boating accident that took place on the River Volga on Sunday, resulting in the death of more than 100 people, among them 30 children.

“I send you the sincere and heartfelt condolences of the Estonian people on the tragic boating accident that took place yesterday on River Volga,” President Ilves wrote. “Please pass on the words of condolence and support from the Estonian people to the next of kin of the deceased.”
