Today in Kadriorg, the President, Mr. Toomas Hendrik Ilves, handed over the donations made by Estonian honorary consuls to pediatric surgeon, Dr. Ann Paal, and member of the Kelluke Foundation Board, Mr. Olev Roosa. The donations will go towards supporting the music and art studies of young people with special needs. At a recent meeting of honorary consuls in Tallinn, the honorary consuls donated more than 2,000 Euros, at the proposal of the President of the Republic, to support the Kelluke Foundation, which brings together young people with special needs.

“The Kelluke Foundation supports the development of young people to give them the will to overcome their health problems and go on making efforts to get along with their lives and find pleasure in even the smallest success,” Dr. Ann Paal said.

The Estonian Head of State was pleased that the new Kelluke Foundation will help children with special needs make their dreams come true, adding that the donations of Estonian honorary consuls have been put towards a worthy endeavour.

The Kelluke Foundation is a sub-foundation established at the Estonian Foundation of National Culture, which supports young people with special needs by helping them realising their ambitions in the spheres of fine arts, sports or research. The establishment of the Kelluke Foundation was initiated by the Society of Spinal Cord Hernia and Hydrocephalus Patients, which this year celebrated its 20th anniversary.
