President Ilves expresses condolences to Russia over plane crash in Karelia

“I send you the sincere and heartfelt condolences of all in Estonia on the occasion of the plane crash that occurred last night near Petroskoy in Karelia,” wrote the President, Mr. Toomas Hendrik Ilves, in a letter of condolence, which he sent to the Russian Head of State, Mr. Dmitri Medvedev.

“Please pass on the words of support from the Estonian people to the next of kin and friends of the deceased,” wrote the Estonian Head of State to the President of the Russian Federation.
