President Ilves to meet with Latvian and Lithuanian head of states this week

At the invitation of the Latvian President, Mr. Valdis Zatlers, a working meeting of the Estonian and Latvian heads of state will take place on 16 June in Salacgriva. This is the last time that Mr. Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Mr. Valdis Zatlers will meet as heads of state, as Mr. Andris Bērziņš will take office as the President of Latvia at the beginning of July.

On 17 June, the Lithuanian Head of State, Ms. Dalia Gribauskaytė, will arrive in Tartu at the invitation of President Ilves. The Presidents of Estonia and Latvia will focus on regional co-operation as well as economic and energy security issues.
