President of the Republic asks Mr. Andrus Ansip to form a new Government

The President, Mr. Toomas Hendrik Ilves, met tonight in Kadriorg with Mr. Andrus Ansip, the Chairman of the Reform Party, which won the recent general elections. The Head of State signed the resolution to appoint Mr. Andrus Ansip as the candidate for Prime Minister and asked him to form a new Government.
The principles for forming the new Government were discussed at the meeting of President Ilves and the candidate for Prime Minister, Mr. Andrus Ansip.
