President’s Cultural Foundation announces competition for Young Scientist Award

The amount for the Young Scientist Award of the President of the Republic’s Cultural Foundation is 75,000 EEK. The award is intended for young Estonian scientists under the age of 35 years, who have a doctoral degree and are conducting research at an Estonian or foreign university.

The Young Scientist Award is financed by Väino Kaldoja.

Nominations must comprise of a written application, including personal details and curriculum vitae; a description of the research being conducted; a list of published research work relevant to the research in question; and at least two references from tutors or teachers. Nominations may be submitted by the young scientists themselves or their tutors or employers, as well as by members of the Board of the Cultural Foundation.

Last year, President Ilves granted the Young Scientist Award to physicist Mait Müntel.
