President Ilves expressed his condolences to the Head of State of Haiti

"Allow me to express my profound condolences to the families and friends of the victims," President Ilves wrote in his letter. Today, President Toomas Hendrik Ilves sent his letter of condolences to the President of Haiti, Mr. René Préval, regarding the devastating earthquake that struck Port-au-Prince yesterday.

"Allow me to express my profound condolences to the families and friends of the victims. I would also like to ask you to convey our sympathy to the injured and to all the people who have lost their homes in this disaster," President Ilves wrote in his letter. "Our thoughts are with you and the people of Haiti at this difficult time."
