President Ilves will travel on a state visit to Hungary

On Sunday, October 4th, President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Evelin Ilves will leave for a state visit to Hungary.

The Head of State will meet with the President of Hungary, László Sólyom, Prime Minister György Gordon Bajnai, and Speaker of the Parliament, Béla Katona.

President Ilves will also visit Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) of Budapest and the Corvinus University of Budapest, meet with the Mayor of Veszprem, and place wreaths at the Memorial of the Heroes of the Nation and on the graves of the victims of the 1956 revolution.

The delegation for the state visit will also include Minister of Education Tõnis Lukas and Birute Klaas, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the University of Tartu.
