President Ilves sent his condolences to the President of Italy

President Toomas Hendrik Ilves sent a message of condolence to Giorgio Napolitano, the President of the Republic of Italy today in connection with the suicide car bomb attack on the Italian military convoy in Kabul yesterday.

“Allow me to express my deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims. I would also like to ask you to convey our sympathy to the soldiers who were wounded in this attack,” President Ilves wrote. “Our thoughts are with you and the people of Italy at this time of sorrow.”
