Ülle Madise will assume the position of Legal Adviser to the President of the Republic

As of 30 March, Ülle Madise (34), lecturer on public law at the Tallinn University of Technology will assume the position of Legal Adviser to the President of the Republic.

Ülle Madise has worked as a Specialist of and Head of the Public Law Department at the Ministry of Justice, as an Adviser and Head of Office of the Constitutional Committee of the Riigikogu, and as the Director of Audit at the National Audit Office of Estonia; she has taught at the University of Tartu and currently teaches at the Tallinn University of Technology.

Ülle Madise, who is a Doctor of Social Sciences, has focused her research on the legal status and roles of constitutional institutions, public law, political party law, New Public Management, the scope of the reception of law, democracy and administrative culture.

She has also contributed to the compilation of the commentaries on the Estonian Constitution published in 2002 and 2008.

Aaro Mõttus, the previous Legal Adviser to the Head of State, now holds the position of Deputy Secretary General of the Riigikogu Chancellery.
