President Ilves travels to Georgia today

Today, President Toomas Hendrik Ilves travelled to Georgia with Polish Head of State Lech Kaczyński, Lithuanian Head of State Valdas Adamkus, Ukrainian Head of State Viktor Yushchenko and Latvian Prime Minister Ivars Godmanis.

“With our visit we wish to express our support for Georgia’s lawfully elected government and to familiarize ourselves with the situation on the ground,” President Ilves said commenting on the objectives of the visit.

President Ilves will arrive back in Estonia tomorrow.
