The President's Cultural Foundation announced the competition for the 2008 Educational Award.

The Cultural Foundation looks forward to participation in the Educational Award competition from all people related to the field of education who have achieved outstanding results in Estonian education life as teachers, faculty members, administrators or employees of educational institutions, compilers of textbooks and methodical materials, as well as those who have initiated and implemented practical educational innovations, or developed educational policies as officials.

The supervisory board of the Cultural Foundation awards three prizes valued at 75.000, 55.000 and 45.000 EEK, which are financed by Hansapank.

Candidates should submit the following: a written application with personal data, a detailed description of their activities with two letters of recommendation from one's employer or co-workers, and from an occupational, professional, or specialty association(s).

The people in the educational field themselves, their employers and educational institutions as well as associations dealing with education-related activities can submit possible candidates.

Please send all the necessary documents to the Cultural Foundation of the President of the Republic at A. Weizenbergi 39, 15050 Tallinn. Candidates should be submitted by September 22, 2008.
