President Ilves will travel to Järvamaa for a county visit

Today, President Toomas Hendrik Ilves will travel to Järvamaa for a county visit.

One of the most important events of the visit to Järva County is the President’s meeting with the members of the Council and Government of the large Türi Rural Municipality. At Türi College, a discussion group will consider the topic of the unification of local governments, where the plusses and minuses of the unification of Türi Rural Municipality will be discussed; namely, the Town and Rural Municipality of Türi merged with the Rural Municipalities of Kabala and Oisu in the fall of 2005.

The Head of State will also meet with students from the Paide Upper Secondary School; visit the Jalax and Jalacell companies, and the Türi College of the University of Tartu. President Ilves will also pay a visit to the Estonian Broadcasting Museum, the Päinurme Local History Museum, and the Estonian Dairy Museum in Imavere.

The visit to Järva County will conclude with a meeting with members of the Järva Brigade of the Defense League in Imavere.
