The new Cuban Ambassador presented his credentials to the President of the Republic

President Toomas Hendrik Ilves received Cuban Ambassador Sergio Conzález Conzález, who presented his credentials last week in Kadriorg.

Estonia has had few contacts with Cuba to date, but at the meeting with the Ambassador, President Ilves confirmed that Estonia is ready to share its positive reform experiences with Cuba.

Estonia also shares the European Union’s priorities in respect to Cuba, and supports efforts to guarantee human rights and fundamental freedoms and to improve the well-being of the population.

The Cuban Ambassador resides in Helsinki.
