The President of the Republic will visit NATO Headquarters

President Toomas Hendrik Ilves flied to Brussels yesterday where he will meet with top NATO officials and military representatives.

The Estonian Head of State will meet with NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer and will speak to the representatives of the alliance’s member states in the North Atlantic Council (NAC).

President Ilves will also visit the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) and meet with General John Craddock, Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR).

The Head of State will make a visit to the Brussels Estonian School, which is attended by the children of diplomats and officials from Estonia, and will meet compatriots working at SHAPE and the Estonian Mission to NATO.

The President of the Republic will arrive back in Tallinn on the evening of February 5th.
