The President of the Republic promulgated twelve laws

Today in Kadriorg, President Toomas Hendrik Ilves signed resolutions promulgating the following laws:

• the State Budget Act for 2008, which was passed by the Riigikogu on 12 December 2007;

• the law amending the Penal Code and the Code of Misdemeanor Procedure, which was passed by the Riigikogu on 6 December 2007;

• the law amending the Basic Schools and Upper Secondary Schools Act and the Vocational Educational Institutions Act, which was passed by the Riigikogu on 6 December 2007;

• the law amending the Pre-School Child Care Institution Act, which was passed by the Riigikogu on 11 December 2007;

• the law ratifying the Protocol additional to the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949, and relating to the Adoption of an Additional Distinctive Emblem (Protocol III), 8 December 2005, which was passed by the Riigikogu on 11 December 2007;

• the law amending the State Family Benefits Act, which was passed by the Riigikogu on 12 December 2007;

• the law amending the Holidays Act, which was passed by the Riigikogu on 12 December 2007;

• the law amending the Veterinary Activities Organization Act and the laws related thereto, which was passed by the Riigikogu on 13 December 2007;

• the law amending the Prosecutor’s Office Act, which was passed by the Riigikogu on 12 December 2007;

• the law amending § 36 of the Packaging Act, which was passed by the Riigikogu on 13 December 2007;

• the law amending the National Audit Office Act, which was passed by the Riigikogu on 13 December 2007;

• the law amending the Weapons Act and State Fees Act, which was passed by the Riigikogu on 13 December 2007.
