President of Estonia extended condolences to the Finnish Head of State following the death of a peacekeeper

“With great sadness, I heard of the death of a Finnish peacekeeper in Afghanistan today,” wrote President Toomas Hendrik Ilves in today’s expression of sympathy to Finnish President Tarja Halonen. “Please accept my sincere condolences for the soldier’s family and the entire Finnish nation.”

The Estonian Head of State send the expression of sympathy after the announcement that a Finnish peacekeeping soldier was killed in the explosion of a bomb hidden by a roadside in Mayamana in northeast Afghanistan.
