President Ilves visited the Defence Forces exercise Spring Storm

President Toomas Hendrik Ilves visited Spring Storm on Friday, the largest army exercise of the Estonian Defence Forces, in which almost 2,500 members of the Defence Forces participate. The Head of State, Defence Minister Jaak Aaviksoo, and Commander of the Defence Forces Major General Ants Laaneots who accompanied him, were introduced to the exercise headquarters, communications center, artillery group, battle positions, and field hospital.

“I am very happy to see so many clear-eyed and very professional conscripts and young officers,” said President Ilves. “This should increase the confidence of every Estonian.”
