President of the Republic participated in the jubilee celebration of the Treaty of Rome in Brussels

President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Mrs. Evelin Ilves flew to Brussels on Friday, where will participate in the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Rome at the invitation of King Albert II of Belgium.

On Saturday, the President of the Republic participated in the Importance of European Integration seminar at the Belgian Royal Palace, a formal reception hosted by King Albert II, and the cultural program of the jubilee celebration of the Treaty of Rome.
