Yesterday, on the evening of February 27, the Chair of Uralic Studies of Dániel Berzsenyi College in Szombathely, Hungary presented a Hungarian-language anthology of President Toomas Hendrik Ilves’s articles and speeches, entitled The Great European Wall?

The anthology, published as part of the hEUreka series that focuses on European Union and Central European issues, contains ten of Toomas Hendrik Ilves’s articles and speeches from his collection of articles, Arrival in Estonia published last year. In addition, President Ilves’s Inauguration Address given on October 9, 2006 will also reach Hungarian readers.

According to Janos Pusztai, the compiler of the Hungarian-language collection of articles, President Ilves is among the great European political thinkers of today, whose analyses help to understand the opportunities and responsibilities of Central European countries in a united Europe.

President Ilves’s collection of articles was presented yesterday at a reception in Szombathely honoring the 89th Anniversary of the Republic of Estonia, where the opening remarks were given by Estonian Ambassador Miko Haljas.
