PRELIMINARY NOTICE: President of the Republic will make a state visit to the Republic of Finland

On March 14th, President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Mrs. Evelin Ilves will leave for a state visit to the Republic of Finland.

The President of the Republic and Mrs. Evelin Ilves will arrive in Helsinki on the Estonian naval ship, Admiral Pitka, and thereafter, the official reception ceremony and meeting with President Tarja Halonen, the President of the Republic of Finland, will take place.

During the state visit, President Ilves will also meet with the Finnish Prime Minister, the Speaker of the Finnish Parliament, and the Mayor of Helsinki, and will give a lecture at the University of Helsinki.

On Thursday, March 15th, President Ilves will visit Oulu.

The President of the Republic will arrive back in Estonia from the state visit on the morning of Friday, March 16th.
