President of the Republic met with the Lithuanian Prime Minister

At a meeting today, President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Lithuanian Prime Minister Gediminas Kirkilas focused on energy security, the prospects for joining the Eurozone, and discussed topics related to the future of Europe.

“Estonia supports a common European energy policy, which would include the reliability of supply and non-dependence on one source,” said the Estonian Head of State.

Speaking about the Ignalina nuclear plant project, Prime Minister Kirkilas confirmed that this is a very important project and the unresolved questions related to the participation of interested countries will be resolved in the next few months.
