PRELIMINARY NOTICE: President of the Republic will visit Jõgeva and Tartu Counties

On Thursday, February 15, President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Mrs. Evelin Ilves will take the early morning Tallinn-Tartu train to start their visit to Jõgeva and Tartu Counties.

The visit will start at the Jõgeva County Government with a meeting of local government leaders. Thereafter, the Head of State will give a social studies lecture to the students at Luua Forest School, visit the Same Company that produces agricultural equipment. After lunch, he will meet with the Old Believers at Kolkja and participate in a party in Torma.

On Friday, February 16, President Ilves and Mrs. Evelin Ilves will visit Tartumaa. At the Estonian Literary Museum, the President will present prizes for the collection of folk poetry, visit Nõo Lihatööstus Ltd., and meet with students at the Nõo Secondary Science School.

Thereafter, President Ilves will visit the Õnneseen Kindergarten in Elva, meet with rescue workers, volunteers and the police, and finish the day at the Valguta Community Hall, where he will meet with members of the neighborhood movement.
