PRELIMINARY NOTICE: President of the Republic will travel to the Federal Republic of Germany for a working visit

Today February 9th, President Toomas Hendrik Ilves will depart for a working visit to the German Federal Republic, in order to participate in the prestigious Wehrkunde Security Conference taking place in Munich.

At the conference, the Estonian Head of State will present a speech entitled: 50th Anniversary of the EU: A Regional Model for Peace, Security and Welfare?

Within the framework of the conference, President Ilves plans to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on February 10.

On February 12, the Estonian Head of State will meet with German President Horst Köhler in Berlin and participate in a roundtable discussing European policies organized by the Deutsche Welle.

The President of the Republic will arrive back in Estonia late on February 12.
