Today in Kadriorg, President Toomas Hendrik Ilves received Jakov Skočibušić, the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who presented his credentials.

According to the President of the Republic, the relations between Estonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina are good and have intensified during the past few years. Nevertheless, it is necessary to develop relations at all levels and to create contacts between various ministries and authorities, added President Ilves.

“We find that a clear European perspective is important for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and offer comprehensive help for the necessary reforms,” said President Ilves.

According to the Bosnia and Herzegovina Ambassador, his country’s relations with Estonia are friendly, but not intensive enough. “We are thankful for Estonia’s help in safeguarding peace and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina and for the support in implementing the necessary reforms,” said Ambassador Skočibušić.
