The President of the Republic met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Macedonia

President Toomas Hendrik Ilves met today in Kadriorg with Antonio Milošoski, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia. Discussions at the meeting included the development of relations between Macedonia and Estonia, Macedonia’s preparations for accession to the European Union and NATO, and the possibilities for Estonia to share its experiences with accession and reforms.

According to the President of the Republic, Estonia supports the future expansion of the European Union and the continuation of the NATO Open Door Policy, including Macedonia’s endeavours toward accession. President Ilves affirmed that Estonia is ready to share its experiences regarding accession and reforms with Macedonia.

Foreign Minister Milošoski provided an overview of Macedonia’s achievements and thanked Estonia for supporting the future expansion of NATO and the European Union. Foreign Minister Milošoski invited the Estonian Head of State to visit the Republic of Macedonia.
