Today President Toomas Hendrik Ilves opened a new woodchip line in Kehra for Horizon Tselluloosi ja Paberi AS

Over the last two decades the Tolaram Group, a large company from Singapore, had invested some 100 million euros to ensure that the cellulose plant in Kehra remained modern and compliant with environmental requirements. The sole Estonian kraft paper manufacturer already exports its output to more than 55 countries. The raw materials – pine and fir – are provided by the local timber industry.
This promising and internationally competitive production facility will continue employing many local residents, thus contributing to the overall success of Estonia.
