In May, ICT Week 2015 attracts tech pros to Tallinn, Estonia

Showcasing the best public and private sector ICT expertise, the second edition of ICT Week will be held from 8 to 15 May in Tallinn, Estonia, for the exchange of ideas and networking between ICT professionals. The focus of the ICT Week 2015 will be on e-Governance and e-Residency, Green IT, Smart Industry, Fintech and the Hardware Evolution, and other exciting fields.

In addition to well-known success stories like Skype, launched with Estonian programming expertise, and game-changing financial startup TransferWise, we see many exciting ideas and ventures getting off the ground in Estonia", said Mr Toomas Hendrik Ilves, President of the Republic of Estonia, a tech enthusiast and one of the speakers of the ICT Week.

ICT Week 2015, one of the most important information and communication technology theme weeks in the region, offers an exciting mix of quality events involving the public and business sectors, to bring together entrepreneurs, investors, IT professionals, government leaders and policymakers from all over the world.

Extensive program from Garage48 to Latitude59

A dedicated website ictweek.eu serves as a hub for the updates about the events, speakers, social events and many more. The program features events like Garage48, a weekend hackathon format for IT professionals and an event to kick start a new venture, IT management conference "NET/WÕRK", Norway-Estonia Green IT cooperation seminar by Innovation Norway and Industry 4.0 in Practice, a conference about taking the efficiency of value chains to the next level. Tallinn e-Governance Conference 2015 focuses on the current state of e-Governance, The Nordic Digital Day is dedicated to the Nordic ICT innovations and reforms, LEAP is an event to prepare start-ups for a big jump in their journey. During the ICT Week, FinanceEstonia International Forum will be held, as well as EEN Brokerage Event "Smart Industry 4.0". e-Narnia is a fairytale is an event by Guardtime about the cyber security competence in Estonia, and Latitude59, an annual networking conference of the Nordic and Baltic start-up scene. ICT Week Gala and the closing party "Rock IT" will be the highlights of the social program.

ICT Week Special Tours

The programme features tours to two venues: e-Estonia Showroom and Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol.

The e-Estonia Showroom showcases the nation's ICT solutions all in one facility, illustrating their usage possibilities both in private and public sector and providing visitors with hands-on examples of what they are and how they work. The E-Estonia Showroom is one of the main forces standing behind increasing the marketing and sales capability of the Estonian ICT companies at the international level.

The tour to Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol includes presentations of the venue, ICT industry in Estonia and meetup with tech companies, as well as visiting Tallinn University of Technology (TUT) Innovation and business center MEKTORY.
